Obituary for Lovato

Julia G. Lovato passed away at the age of 68. The Lord came for her at home on Friday, February 11, 2000. She was born in Las Vegas, NM to Esiquel Gurule and Pablito Valdez Gurule in 1932. She came to Albuquerque 34 years ago. Mrs. Lovato was a resident of Trinidad, CO prior to moving to Albuquerque. She was also a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Disabled American Veterans, and American Legion Post 13. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lorenzo; son, Jose Daniel Lovato; parents, Esiquel and Pablita; and brother, Bennie Gurule. She is survived by her daughters, Pauline Gonzales and Gilbert Campos, and Jo Ella Bencomo and fiance, Dean Stippich; brother, Humberto Gurule of Las Vegas; sister, Belle Luna; six grandchildren, Della Lovato, Elaine Garcia, Jennifer Gonzales, Delilah Gonzales, Daniel Bencomo, Julian Bencomo; 11 very special great-grandchildren; and other very special family members, including Joe and Marlene Gonzales and family, Liz Velasquez and family of Las Vegas, Isabel Benevidez and family of Las Vegas, Diana Marquez, and Bennie Gurule of Las Vegas. Funeral services were held on Thursday at St. Charles Borromeo. Pallbearers were Jennifer Gonzales, Daniel Bencomo, Julian Bencomo, Andrew Gonzales, Rosie Chavez and Tony Torres. Honorary pallbearers were Dean Stippich, Gilbert Compos, Elaine Garcia and Delilah Gonzales. The family wishes to thank all their relatives and friends who were in attendance of the Rosary and Funeral services for Mrs. Lovato. They would also like to express their gratitude for all the love, care and compassion that has been shown to them.
