Joyce M. Weese, 90 years old and a resident of Albuquerque, died peacefully Saturday, February 12. Joyce was born on October 30, 1909 in the small town of Valley Falls, Kansas, where she was the youngest of four children. Joyce and her brothers all attended the same elementary and high school as her parents. It was during these year that she developed her love of music and sang in a popular women's quartet, which was one of her fondest memories. She is survived by an older brother, Allison Knouse; her son, Dale; three grandsons, Christopher, Kirt and Peter Kempter; and two great-granddaughters, Katherine Shannon and Victoria Noel Kempter. Joyce was a gentle, beautiful lady who enjoyed singing and always had a smile for everyone-even when she did not feel well. No memorial service is planned at this time. Donations in her name may be sent to the Alzheimer's Disease Research Foundation.
