Martha B. Taylor, 85, a resident of Rio Rancho for the past 24 years, passed away on Thursday, June 1, 2000. Martha was born December 10, 1914 the daughter of George and Susan Holly Blake in Martinsburg, West Virginia. She worked as a nurse in Public Health for the City of Mt. Vernon, New York before retiring. Martha was a member of the St. Thomas Rosary Society and worked with the Felician Sisters. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sigismund D. Taylor in 1985. Martha is survived by her daughter, Sherry Taylor of Los Angeles, CA; three nephews, Donald Wright of New York, Dr. Kirk Moore of New Brunswick, NJ and Dr. Zaker McGill of San Francisco, CA; one niece, Ruth Moore of Princeton, NJ. Visitation will be Monday, June 5, 2000, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., in the Chapel of Vista Verde Mortuary, Sara Rd., at Meadowlark Ln., Rio Rancho, with the Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Vista Verde Mortuary. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 6, 2000, 10:30 a.m., at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. The interment will be at 1:30 p.m. in the National Cemetery in Santa Fe.
