Obituary for Erickson

Published in the Albuquerque Journal on Saturday June 03, 2000

For 28 years, Scott Erickson celebrated his life, growing up in Hawaii until the age of six; he grew to love the islands and the ocean. Scott returned to Albuquerque and completed 12 years of school, graduating from Sandia High School in 1990. Shortly after graduation, he returned to Hawaii. Upon returning to Albuquerque in 1993, he met the love of his life, Lori Diamond. They were married six years and were expecting their first child, a baby boy in October. On Memorial Day they died at the scene in a tragic car accident. Scott was loved by all and never met a stranger. He had no boundaries. If you were fortunate enough to have him touch your life, you would know he loved you unconditionally. Scott is survived by his mother, Christine Montgomery Demijohn and husband, Joseph; father, Raymond Erickson; brother, Eddie Erickson; sister, Hollie Roerick and husband, Mark; nephew, Alexander Roerick; niece, Christine Roerick; brother, Joe Demijohn, Jr., sister, Ann Demijohn Murray; grandmothers, Thelma Montgomery and Vi Erickson; grandmother-in-law, Eve Monson; aunt, Ann Montgomery; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
