Eloiza T. Chavez, our beloved wife, mother and grandmother, went to be with her Savior on Saturday, May 27, 2000. Mrs. Chavez is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Mr. Frank A. Chavez; her 12 loving children, Leo, Frank Jr., Gene, James, Maria, Dale, Agnes, Juanita, Evelyn, Ana, Lisa and Regina. In addition to her immediate children and their respective spouses, Mrs. Chavez is survived by 40 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Chavez was born in Chilili, NM on March 6, 1920; married to Frank A. Chavez on November 27, 1939; they celebrated their 60th Anniversary in 1999; Mrs. Chavez's love and passion in life were her children and extended family, as well as her devotion to the Lord. We will miss her greatly. Final viewing will be this morning at Garcia Mortuary from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. also at the San Felipe de Neri Church. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Joe R. Chavez, Marcos P. Chavez, Bryan M. Bustamante, Gene N. Chavez, Santiago A. Chavez and Robert Nunez. Funeral services are in the care of Garcia Mortuary, 717 Stover Ave. SW.
