Carlton Alvin Lankford, 63, died on April 23, 2000 at the family home. He was born in Frankford, VA and moved to Albuquerque 20 years ago. He is survived by his wife, Henretta Lankford of Albuquerque; children, Carlton Lankford, Jr., Mary Lankford, Susan Lankford, Carlette Lankford, Jessie Lankford and Derrick Lankford; step-children, Doris Matthews and Joann Todd; and six grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. today at Chapel of Sandia Funeral Care, 7601 Wyoming Blvd NE. Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Chapel of Sandia Funeral Care with Rev. Dan Evereg of Pilgrims Church of God in Christ officiating. Burial will follow in San Jose de Armijo Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jeff Brewster, Charlie Wilson, Donald Howard, Howard Tarlay, Bobby Young, Eddie Wilson and William Perdue. Sandia Funeral Care, 7601 Wyoming Blvd. NE.
