Roland Z. Dennis, 82, a resident of Albuquerque for 42 years, passed away Saturday, April 22, 2000. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Frances Dennis; son, William R. Dennis and wife, Mary; sister-in-law, Louise Kohncke, all of Albuquerque; and brother, Joe Dennis of Ft. Worth, TX. He was preceded in death by his father, Earnest Dennis; mother, Ella Dennis; and brothers, Wilson Dennis and Ray Dennis. Mr. Dennis was a veteran in the U.S. Air Force, having served his country in World War II, and Korea Conflict. He retired as Master Sergeant after 23 years of service. Mr. Dennis was a member of the Presbyterian Church. He was a Boy Scout leader while living in Green Park, Japan. Services will be held Wednesday, 10:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE, with Rev. Joyce Lieberman officiating. Interment will follow at 12:30 p.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE, Tuesday, 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
