Obituary for Krawll

Kay Krawll, 90, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on Friday, April 21, 2000. Kay was born on April 12, 1910 in Zhitomer, Russia. She and her family came to the United States when she was 19 months of age. The family settled in Chicago, Illinois. After high school she became a professional dancer and toured cities throughout the United States and Canada. She often played on the same bill with Edgar Bergen and Charlie McCarthy! She was a beautiful and talented dancer. In 1937 she married Jack Krawll and they settled in Saginaw, Michigan. Later moving to Fresno, California and to New Mexico after Jack retired. Kay was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother as well as a dear and funloving friend to those who knew her. Kay and Jack have been active members of Temple Albert since moving to New Mexico in 1987. Kay had been a lifetime member of Hadassah, a women's advocacy organization. She was preceded in death by her son, Lawrence Charles Krawll. Kay is survived by her husband, Jack of Albuquerque; two daughters, Helen Fellen of Albuquerque and Marcia Krawll of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada; two grandchildren, Rick Fellen and wife, Lisa of Oceanside, CA and Melissa Kravetz and husband, David of Aurora, CO; and great-granddaughter, Natalie of Oceanside, CA. The Service for Kay will be on Monday, April 24, 2000 at 1:00 p.m. at Congregation Albert, 3800 Louisiana Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, with Cantor Jacqueline Shuchat-Marx officiating. Interment will be in the Congregation Albert section of Fairview Memorial Park. The family wishes to thank Monzano del Sol Nursing Facility and the Presbyterian Hospice staff for their loving care and support.
