Obituary for Frasier

Louise V. Weir Frasier, 86, long-time resident of Albuquerque died Tuesday, April 18, 2000. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hoyt N. Frasier and her oldest granddaughter, Karen Platt. She is survived by ten children; thirty-four grandchildren and forty-four great-grandchildren. Surviving children are: Virginia and husband, Charlie Platt of Cheaspeake, OH, Dorothy, widow of Roy McGee of Nashville, TN, Carrie and husband, Franklin Smith of El Paso, TX, Hoyt J. Frasier and wife, Barbara of Bristol, TN, Thomas W. Frasier of Dandridge, TN, John R. Frasier of Davidson, NC, and wife, Charlotte, Patricia and husband, Richard Branda of Albuquerque, NM, Margaret and husband, Mike Antley of Rio Rancho, NM, Evelyn and husband, Al Strouse of Edgewood, NM, Martha and husband, Richard Alarid of Corrales, NM. Also surviving are two sisters, one brother, many nieces, nephews and dear friends, David Alarid and Mike Hand. Mama was loved and respected by many people and during her recent illness she was visited by forty-five relatives from eleven states. Family members would like to thank Dr. Jean Thomas and the surgical staff at Lovelace Medical Center for the care and compassion shown to them and their mother and grandmother. Cremation has taken place and there will be a graveside service in Flintville, TN. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to All Faiths Receiving Home of Albuqueque, NM or New Mexico Museum of Natural History in Albuquerque.
