Lillie M. Shirley "Granny" February 16, 1923 - April 15, 2000Granny, your life hasn't ended, you've just gone on to greener pastures, to be with the Lord and relish in the place He has prepared for you. You have left us to go on alone, but not without the wisdom you have given us. We will always remember you for your kindness and the willingness to give. You have touched so many lives, strangers, as well as family and friends. Your contribution to all will be remembered forever. Granny, it will be hard to go on without you. When we long to hear your words of encouragement, we need only to listen to our hearts, for you have filled them with many fond memories and great wisdom. We will go on with the strength that you have passed on to us. You were always there to love us with your unconditional love, a love that passed no judgment, but nudged us down the right path. Your loving heart will be cherished by all of us, and your memory will live in our heart forever. We love you Granny. When life on earth ends, a new life begins. For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16. Cremation has taken place and memorial services will be held Thursday, 1:00 p.m., at the Church on Girard, 1300 Girard NE, with Rev. Tony Chavez officiating.
