Carlota J. Vigil, age 84, died on April 13, 2000. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe C. Vigil; and three sons, Simon, Freddie, and Ronnie Vigil. Mrs. Vigil is survived by her son, Benjamin Vigil; her daughter, Annie Chavez and husband, Leo; 17 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; ten great-great-grandchildren; brother, Phil Martinez and wife, Avoria; and a number of nieces and nephews in California. Mrs. Vigil was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. Funeral services were held on Monday at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. Burial took place at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers were Fernando Vigil, Anthony Chavez, Miguel Aragon, Johnny Ray Barela and Diego L. Lucero and Marcos Chavez. Honorary pallbearers were Leo Chavez, Vincent Chavez, Johnny Lucero, Martin Sanchez, Adam Aragon, Adrian rmijo and Enrique Quesada. The family of Mrs. Vigil wishes to thank all their relatives and friends who were in attendance of the Rosary and Funeral services.
