Epifanio Romero, of Truchas, New Mexico, died of kidney failure on February 4, 2000 at the age of 90. Rev. Romero was a Presbyterian minister for many years in the Mora Valley (Mora, Holman, Chacon), and in Truchas, Chimayo and Cordova. His death was preceded by the deaths by his daughter, Rafaelita, in 1988; and his wife, Alice, in 1990. He is survived by his sister, Filia of San Diego, CA; his daughter's son, Tom Trujillo of Colorado Springs; his son, James and wife, Mary, and their children, Jeremy and Alicia of Ancon, NM, and by his son, Mark of Albuquerque, and his children, James of Albuquerque and Mario, currently stationed in Lakenheath, England. A memorial service for Rev. Romero, to be held at the Smith Memorial Presbyterian Church in Truchas, is pending.
