Ursula Chavez, 88, died February 6, 2000 in Albuquerque. She was born in 1911 in Belen to Pedro and Dolores Chaves and later married Ernesto S. Chavez, who preceded her in death in 1988. In 1990, she moved to Albuquerque. She was a member of World Wide Church of God. She is survived by a son, Vincent Chavez; nephews, Serafico Carrillo, Regino Carrillo, Alberto Carrillo and Robert Chaves; and nieces, Nora Baca, Lola Saiz, Marcella Chavira, Georgia Gonzalez, Corine Lynch, Diana and Vera. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, February 11, 2000 at Chapel of Sandia Funeral Care with Mr. Tom Melear of World Wide church of God officiating. Inurnment will be at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, February 12, 2000 at the Terrace Grove Cemetery in Belen. Sandia Funeral Care, 7601 Wyoming Blvd. NE.
