Obituary for Archuleta

Cleofas Archuleta, a resident of Albuquerque, formerly of Guadalupita and originally from Rancho de Taos, passed away on March 21, 2000, following a brief illness. A lifelong Catholic, she was a member of Saint Therese Little Flower Catholic Church. Cleo was a member of the Blue Army, Legion of Mary and St. Joseph. She was very active attending other churches in town. A very loving and caring person, she loved to give, not expecting to receive. She was preceded in death by her parents, Juan and Rafaelita Candelario; son, Abran; sister, Ann Rivera; brothers, Fernando, Ralph and Tomas Candelario. She is survived by her husband, Frank Archuleta; daughters, Mary Steagall of Albuquerque, Gloria Graham and husband, Millard of Fairfield, CA, Clara Archuleta of Albuquerque; one sister, Celestina Tafoya of Rancho de Taos; eight grandchildren, Frank Romero, Connie Parrez, Carmen Romero, Frances Steagall, Joseph Graham, Howard Graham, Debbie Hall and David Graham; 17 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Visitations will be today, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., in the chapel of Garica Mortuary, located on the corner of 8th and Stover. A Rosary will be recited this evening, 8:00 p.m., at the St. Therese Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m. also at the St. Therese Catholic Church. Interment will follow at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Melissa, Michael, David Romero, Frank Romero, Joe Graham and Daniel Graham. Funeral services are in the care of Garcia Mortuary, 717 Stover Ave. SW, 243-5222.
