Obituary for Sanchez

Paul G. Sanchez, 51, passed away March 16, 2000. A native New Mexican, he served his country in the Marine Corps. for 14 years and was employed at US West, where he made many friends. He also worked at the Post Office, City of Albuquerque, Isleta Casino, Chava Trucking, Coyote Concrete, Alpha Rentals, and the love of his life was being a sports official, for all sports. He graduated from Lourdes High School in 1966 and was preceded in death by his father, Richard G. Sanchez; sister, Elda Sanchez; and brother, Richard Sanchez. Paul is survived by his wife of 32 years, Maria del Rosario Villegas Sanchez; children, Paul E. Sanchez and Michelle Chavez, David G. Sanchez, Jose L. Sanchez and wife, Perscilla, Sabrina Sanchez and Larry Zamora; grandchildren, Isaiah P. Sanchez, Antonio L. Zamora, Isabella Sanchez, Jeremy Sanchez, Sheila Cason, and Adam Cason; mother, Mary Sanchez; brothers, Jimmy Sanchez, Raymond Sanchez, Girard Sanchez, Patrick Sanchez, Anthony Sanchez, and Andrew Sanchez; sisters, Casilda, Nancy, Judy, and many other nieces, nephews, and family and friends who loved and will miss him. Services will be held at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 1818 Coal Place SE, with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 19, 2000. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, March 20, 2000, with main Celebrant Fr. Bob Chabot. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Irineo Villegas, Henry Guzman, Salvador Campos Jr., Gabriel Campos, Luis Ernesto Navarette, and Thomas Navarette. The family wishes to give a very special thanks to doctors, nurses and staff at UNM Hospital, Fr. Bob Chabot, and all of his friends at US West, for their loving care.
