Obituary for Gonzalez

Angelina L. Gonzalez passed away on March 17, 2000 after a lengthy and courageous battle with diabetes. She was born on June 15, 1927 in Albuquerque and raised in Santa Fe. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jose Sena and Frances Sena; and by her husband, Jose Leo Gonzalez. Mrs. Gonzalez was a loving mother, grandmother and friend, and will be deeply missed. She is survived by her companion, Federico Escaren; daughters, Frances Ulibarri and companion, Chris Garcia, Joanne Stucker and husband, Derrick, Victoria Bickel and husband, Jim; and sons, Jerry Gallegos and wife, Tomasita and Eloy B. Gallegos and wife, Sandra. She also is survived by grandchildren, Angelina Ulibarri, Keith Garcia, Adrian Ulibarri, Aliza Martinez, Karen Gallegos and Shalyn Gallegos; great-grandchildren, Cody Garcia and Adrinna Ulibarri; and many cousins, aunts and uncles. Viewing will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Sunday, at Chapel of Sandia Funeral Care, 7601 Wyoming Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, NM, followed at 7:00 p.m. by a Rosary recited by Deacon Facundo Rodriguez. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m., Monday, at Santa Maria de la Paz Catholic Community, #11 College Avenue, Santa FE, NM. Burial is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. in Santa Fe National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Robert Dominguez, Adrian Ulibarri, Ricky Roybal, Albert Wheeler, Keith Garcia and Chris Garcia. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Santa Maria de la Paz Catholic Community Building Fund or the American Diabetes Association.
