Obituary for Lucero

Staff Sergeant Gregory A. Lucero, 36, stationed in Giebelsladt, Germany, died December 20, 2000 of injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Germany. Gregory was born on February 2, 1964. He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond R. Lucero. Gregory is survived by his wife, Janet of Germany; and a daughter, Christina Lucero, of Arizona; he is also survived by his mother, Ramona E. Lucero, of Albuquerque; his brother, Raymond R. Lucero, Jr. and his wife, Cyndi; sisters, Diana Sanchez and her husband, Robert, Lucille Samudio, Debra Riordan and her husband, Greg, Edith Kent and her husband, Doug; also his mother-in-law Josephine Schnoor; his Godparents, Albert and Victoria Gonzales, and Robert Gonzales; and his uncles and aunts, many nieces, nephews and friends. Greg will be dearly missed by his loving family and those who knew and loved him. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, January 2, 2001, at 11:00 a.m. in San Felipe de Neri Catholic Church with Msgr Leo Lucero Clebrant. Casket bearers will be Albert Gonzales, Robert Gonzales, Larry Gonzales, Michael Sanchez, Danny Lucero, and Alfred Mendoza. Interment will follow in Santa Fe National Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. with full military honors. Strong-Thorne Mortuary, 1100 Coal Ave SE, is in charge of arrangements.
