Joe R. Cooper, 82, a resident of Albuquerque since 1945, died Friday, December 22, 2000. He is survived by his daughter, Beverly Herman and husband, George E.; grandchildren, George Joseph Herman, James Edward Herman, Valerie Kristine Herman, all of Tucson, AZ and John Steven Herman of Cherry Point, NC; and great-granddaughter, Amorette Flores of Tucson, AZ. Mr. Cooper was preceded in death by his wife of 30 years, Vera. Joe belonged to V.F.W. and was a decorated WWII Army Veteran. Services will be held Tuesday, 10:30 a.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE, with Rev. Clyde Stanfield officiating. Interment will take place at 1:30 p.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery. French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE.
