Obituary for Marquez

Linda Marquez, 65, a resident of Peralta and formerly a resident of Albuquerque, died Wednesday, May 17, 2000. She is survived by her husband, Adelaudo (Lalo) Marquez; children, Abel Marquez and wife, Liz, Nadine Marquez, and Jocelyn Betzen and husband, Josh; grandchildren, Erica and Jacklyn Marquez, Tim Sanchez, Veronica Mitchell, and Kira Betzen; great-grandson, Harlan; sister, Theresa Garcia; brother, Eugene Torres and wife, Armida; sisters-in-law, Alice Torres, Florinda Marquez and husband, Ross, and Ida Valdez; brother-in-law, Chris Lopez and wife, Trini; aunts, Anna Moya, Sara Torrez, and Adela Torrez; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins. Mrs. Marquez worked as a teacher's aide and a teacher for Albuquerque Public Schools, working at Coronado and Dolores Gonzales Elementary Schools for 15 years. Memorial Mass will be celebrated Saturday, 10:00 a.m., at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Peralta, with Father Alberto Gallegos, Celebrant. Honorary pallbearers will be Debbie Lara, Marietta Sais, Cristy Pacheco, Betty Smith, Gloria Granados, and Peggy Santillanes. French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE.
