Obituary for Thompson

Florence"Totsie" Thompson, age 72, a longtime resident of Las Vegas, NM, passed away Wednesday, May 17, 2000 in Albuquerque. She was born December 24, 1927 in Des Moines, NM and was the daughter of the late Jim and Sallie Barker Thornton. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Donald C. Thompson on December 20, 1985. She is survived by three sisters, Vivian Bernola of Albuquerque, Alta Lee Wicks of Arlington, TX, and Lela Howell of Amarillo, TX; two brothers, Afton Thornton of Claude, TX and James Thornton of Delano, CA. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, May 19, 2000 at 1:00 p.m. from the Rogers Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. Mike Stahl officiating. Interment will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery with the following serving as casket bearers, Coy Howell, Lynn Lockhart, Bary Sanders, Tommy Thornton, Pat Malcheski, and Richard Zanotti. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be all her friends. She will have visitation, today only, May 18, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., with a closed casket.
