Obituary for Paynter

Henry A. Paynter, 74, a resident of Albuquerque since 1956, died Monday, May 15, 2000. He is survived by his wife of nine years, Patsy Romero Paynter of Albuquerque; brothers, Henry M. Wilt and wife, Vicki of Mesa, AZ and Ivan Wright and wife, Marianne of Albuquerque; sons, Alfred Joseph Paynter and wife, Jan of Knoxville, TN, Michael Sandoval and wife, Janice of Albuquerque, and Marvin Sandoval and wife, Laura, all of Albuquerque, Tony Paynter and wife, Hope of Los Lunas, and Steven Paynter and wife, Bobbie of Belen; daughters, Nancy Paynter-Lucero of Hayward, CA, Christine Sandoval and husband, Christopher of Albuquerque, and Susie Smrt and husband, Chuck of Belen; and numerous nieces, nephews and grandchildren. Mr. Paynter was a survivor of WWII where he earned his Purple Heart in the U.S. Navy. Rosary will be recited Thursday, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE, with Deacon Gilbert Ortiz reciting. Services will be held Friday, 10:30 a.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE, with Pastor Rick Donaho officiating. Interment will take place at 1:30 p.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Michael Sandoval, Marvin Sandoval, Donny Stout, Gilbert Ortiz, Jesus Armenta, and Karl Ortiz.
