Alice E. Merren, 74, passed away Friday after a yearlong illness. She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, George T. Merren. She is survived by her three sons, Richard Wagner of Bangkok, Thailand, Tom and David Merren of Albuquerque, New Mexico; her brother, Pete Snyder of Chicago, Illinois; two daughters-in-law, and two granddaughters. A graveside service will take place this morning at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Legion Post 69. Services are entrusted to Alameda Mortuary, 9420 4th St., Gary F. Santillanes C.F.S.P.
