Obituary for O'hanlon

Patricia M. O'Hanlon-Neal, 74, died on May 7, 2000 in Riverside, CA. She was a long time resident of Albuquerque and for many years was an elementary school teacher for the Albuquerque Public Schools. She was born and raised in Los Angeles and graduated from Northern Arizona University in 1947 with a BA in Elementary Education. Patty was a life-long conservationist and environmentalist. For many years she was active as a member and an officer of the San Gorgonio Chapter of the Sierra Club, enthusiastically involving herself in their myriad projects and activities. She was an avid gardener, cook, home entertainer, camper, hiker, swimmer and adventuresome traveler. Patty was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She is survived by three sons, Mark Neal of Las Cruces, NM, David Neal of Lexington, MA, and Gregory Neal of Riverside, CA; eight grandchildren, Lisa, Linsey, Landon, Jonathan, Richard, Patrick, Katherine and Elizabeth; and a sister, Marjorie O'Hanlon of Laguna Woods, CA; one son, Timothy Neal, died in 1965 at age 12.
