Obituary for Iglio

Josephine Iglio, 93, a resident of Rio Rancho, residing at Acantilado Vista Retirement Community, passed away on Sunday, May 7, 2000. Josephine was born July 18, 1906, the daughter of Angelo and Josephine Leone Sgammato in Brooklyn, New York. She did hand sewing for a clother in New York before retiring. Josephine was preceded in death by her husband, Domenico in 1972. She is survived by four children, Tony Iglio and his wife, Arlene of Alameda, Charles Iglio and wife, Frances of Ozark, MO, Mechela Dicks of Virginia, Josephine Horton of Georgia; two brothers, Charles and Louis Sgammato of New York; 13 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held today, Tuesday, May 9, 2000, from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., with the Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Vista Verde Mortuary, Sara Rd., at Meadowlark Ln., Rio Rancho, with the Mass of Christian Burial being celebrated on Wednesday, May 10, 2000, 10:30 a.m., at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Entombment will follow in the Floral Garden Mausoleum in Vista Verde Memorial Park. Arrangements by Vista Verde Mortuary, Rio Rancho, 892-9920.
