Obituary for Warchol

Denise"Dee Dee" Warchol, 39, a resident of Albuquerque, died following surgery on Friday, May 5, 2000. She was born in Tucson and had lived in Albuquerque since 1997. She is survived by her husband of 11 years, Joe Warchol. He was her soul mate and best friend, just as she was his. She is also survived by sons, Evan Brown and Kristofer Mortensen and daughter, Alex Mortensen of Albuquerque; father, Dennis Mortensen of Tucson, AZ; brothers, Craig Mortensen and wife, Lynne of Phoenix, AZ, Michael Mortensen and wife, Susan, Ben Mortensen of Tucson, AZ;"adopted" sister, Anita Vasquez of Phoenix, AZ; four nieces and three nephews; uncle and aunt, James and Jeannine Nunez of Tucson, AZ. Dee Dee will be remembered as a loving, cherished and devoted wife, mother and friend. She was a gentle person and a friend to all whom she touched. She enjoyed being active in her children's lives. She loved flowers, quilting and sewing. Dee Dee left us very suddenly and unexpectedly, carried in the arms of angels and laid to rest in God's hands. A service celebrating her life will be held on Tuesday, May 9, 2000, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE, with Pastor Rick Donaho officiating. Friends may visit French Mortuary on Lomas, Monday, May 8, 2000, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
