Mrs. Margaret Alice Armijo died Sunday at her daughter's home. Mrs. Armijo served as her neighborhood watch Chairperson for a number of years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Felix"Phil" Armijo; two brothers, Walter Garcia and William Garcia Jr.; and her parents, Manuel and Cora Michelbach-Garcia. She is survived by one son, Felix Anthony Armijo; one daughter, Elizabeth and husband, Ray Ortega; two sisters, Lorraine and husband, Walt Brown, and Pauline and husband, Dan Prendergast; two grandchildren, Michael Anthony Armijo, and Eric Ortega; one brother-in-law, Diego and wife, Isabel Armijo; one sister-in-law, Emma Garcia; great-aunt and uncle, Cipriano Lopez and Florence Michael Baca Lopez; her mentor, Tillie Chavez; and several nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at the San Felipe Catholic Church at 9:00 a.m. Burial will follow at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe. Pallbearers will be Michael Anthony Armijo, Ray Ortega, Michael Gurule, Robert Garcia, Edward Maestas, and Leroy Miller. Honorary pallbearers will be Eric Ortega, John Taylor, and Jesse Martinez. A Rosary will be recited tonight at the San Felipe Catholic Church at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to UNM Hospice.
