Obituary for Stricklin

Jimmy L."Chief" Stricklin, 66, of Albuquerque, died in a motorcycle accident, doing what he loved to do, on Sunday, March 26, 2000. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Pierrette. He is also survived by his children; Mark and his wife, Susan of Waukegan, IL., Daniel and his wife, Mary Helen of Ivins, UT, Gregory and his wife, Romaine of Albuquerque, Laurent and his wife, Brenda of Fountain Hill, AZ, Patricia Barker and her husband, Donald of Mesa AZ; ten grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; seven sisters, LuEarl Stricklin, Sudie Deavours and her husband, Thomas, Nina Ruth Jackson, Betty Jean Parslow and her husband, Jim, Janalene McCullough and her husband, Larry, Noma Lee Short and her, husband, Carlos, Sarah Francis Hardegree and her husband, Herb; three brothers, Leon and his wife, Joyce, Dalton and his wife, Jackie, Gerald and his wife, Dianne; and many nephews and nieces. Jimmy was a member of the Catholic Church. He was a retired Air Force Veteran of the Korean Conflict and Vietnam. He was also a member of the DAV, VFW, Retired Enlisted Association, the Goldwing Road Riders Association, Chapters F and W. Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, 10:00 a.m., at St. Joseph on the Rio Grande Catholic Church, 4020 St. Joseph Pl. N.W., with Father Frank Prieto, Celebrant. Interment will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. with full military honors by the NM Honor Guard. French Mortuary, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE.
