Beula"B.K." LeMaster McEver, 89, of Amarillo, died Wednesday, March 29, 2000. Services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 1, 2000 at St. Paul United Methodist Church, 4317 I-40 West, and graveside services at 2:00 p.m. at Ochiltree Cemetery, Perryton, TX, with Rev. John McClean officiating both services. Mrs. McEver was born in Haskew, Oklahoma to Harold and Susie Crum. She grew up in the Perryton area, graduating from Perrtyon High School and Wichita Business College, then working as a legal secretary for many years. She married E.W."Dub" LeMaster in 1934, and they had three children. She was the first woman County and District Clerk of Ochiltree County, TX. E.W. died in 1942. In 1947, Mrs. LeMaster's married Dick McEver, living in Guymon, OK, and the relocated to Amarillo, where she was a real estate broker. After their divorce, she moved to Kentucky, Nebraska, and the returned to Texas, where she continued to sell real estate and manage properties. Mrs. McEver's was an active member of St. Paul United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her first husband, E.W."Dub" LeMaster; and two brothers, Norman and Martin Crum. Survivors include her daughter, Barbara Kaye Oberle and husband, Larry of Amarillo; sons, Dr. Ed LeMaster of McAllen, TX and Tom LeMaster of Rio Rancho; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; two sisters, Edith Batman of Lone Jack, MO and Bess Brillhart of Perryton, TX; four brothers, Joe Crum, Jack Crum, and Grover Crum, all of the Perryton area, and Ben Crum of Pueblo, CO; and brother-in-law, Jake LeMaster of Perryton.
