Obituary for Tennyson

Leslie W. Tennyson Jr., 53, a resident of Dixon, NM, passed away on Tuesday, March 28, 2000. Leslie was born on March 11, 1947, the son of Leslie W. and Lillian Koury Tennyson Sr. in Santa Fe. He was a Drug and Alcohol Counselor with the Rio Grande Treatment Center. Leslie served in the US Air Force, was a medic on the front lines during the Vietnam conflict. He was a very loving man, father and grandfather. Will be missed by all. He is a great healer. Leslie is survived by his parents, Leslie and Lillian Tennyson Sr. of Rio Rancho; three children, Chandra Orona of Albuquerque, Paul Tennyson of Albuquerque, and Sarah Tennyson of Pecos, NM; two sisters, Cecilia Hanrahan and husband, Bill, Carol Martinez and husband, Ed; one brother, Kenny Tennyson and wife, Bernadette; also survived by Betty Tennyson and Rose Ann Gutierrez-Mora; and four grandchildren, J.J. Solomon, Samantha Tennyson, Lauren Solomon, and Sabrina Tennyson. The Rosary will be held this evening, Thursday, March 30, 2000, 7:00 p.m., at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Parish, 5415 Fortuna Rd. NW, Albuquerque, with the Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, March 31, 2000, 11:00 a.m., at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Parish. Interment will be in the National Cemetery in Santa Fe. Pallbearers will be Paul Tennyson, El Fego Orona, Miguel Martinez, John Tennyson, John Koury, Larry Waterman. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Hanrhan, Jimmy Koury, Ed Martinez, and John Martinez. Arrangements by Vista Verde Mortuary, Sara Rd., at Meadowlark Ln., Rio Rancho.
