Obituary for Maddon

Martin Teddy Maddon, 81, passed away at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Robert and Teddie Bruce in Corrales on Saturday, March 25, 2000. Martin was born in Washington, OK on December 22, 1918 to Harland and Beva (Harmon) Maddon. Martin and Katie were united in marriage on February 18, 1939 in Washington, OK, where they farmed until 1955. They were members of the First Baptist Church in Washington. At that time they moved to Albuquerque where they operated a service station and later restored Model A cars. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Walter and Chester Leon (Tess); and sister, Anice Reed. He is survived by his wife, Katie (Garvin) Maddon of Albuquerque; daughters and sons-in-law, Teddie and Robert Bruce of Corrales, Ruth and Jerry Pickle of Moorhead, IA; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two nieces; two nephews and friends. Services will be held Monday, 3:00 p.m. at Chester T. French Memorial Mausoleum Chapel, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE, with Pastor Jeff Carr officiating. Entombment will follow. French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE.
