Obituary for Doughty

Mrs. Doris J. Doughty, age 63 years, of Jefferson City, Missouri, died Saturday, January 29, 2000 at St. Marys Health Center. Mrs. Doughty was born October 8, 1936 at Norfolk, Virginia, the daughter of Chester F. and Virginia Bunch Wilcox, both deceased. She was married on September 6, 1954 at Norfolk, Virginia to Orville R. Doughty who preceded her in death on May 11, 1998. Mrs. Doughty attended high school in Norfolk, Virginia. A resident of the Jefferson City since 1993, Mrs. Doughty was employed at Sydney's Cafeteria in the Truman Building for several years. Currently, she was employed in the Corporations Dept. of the Missouri Secretary of State. Survivors include four sons, Chester R. Doughty of Jefferson City, MO, Jim L. Doughty of Carpinteria, CA, Ron K. Doughty of Steamboat Springs, CO, and Jerry A. Doughty of Fulton, MO; one sister, Bonnie J. Butler of Portsmouth, VA; seven grandchildren, Vicky Lynn Doughty, Sarah Beth Doughty, Matthew Raymond Doughty, Mary Jeanette Doughty, Emily Jane Doughty, Katelyn Sky Doughty, and Josie Ann Doughty. Graveside services and interment will be conducted Thursday, February 3, 2000 at the Longwood Cemetery, Ponca City, Oklahoma. Friends may call at the Freeman Mortuary from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Tuesday.
