Obituary for Lucero

Cora M. Lucero, 84, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on January 27, 2000. She is survived by her daughters, Alice Parras and husband, Louie, Theresa Gonzales and fiance, Robert Montano; her son, Ray Lucero; step-daughter, Lucy Martinez. Also surviving are two sisters, Margaret and Sadie Romero and husband, Toby; seven grandchildren, Lawrence and wife, Gloria, Jimmy, Johnny, Mark, Joseph; great-grandchildren Aaron, Michael, Patricia and husband, Freddie, Nadine and husband, Dominic, and Valerie; five great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends. Cora was known as Little Grandma,"Little package of love". She loved her Spanish heritage and loved posing for pictures, she always looked for the good in all people and was a life member of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated this morning at 10:00 a.m., also at the church. Pallbearers will be Lawrence Parras, Aaron Gonzales, Joseph Lucero, Kirk Montano, Dominic Garcia and Freddie Maestas. Honorary pallbearer will be Ray Lucero. Interment will follow at the San Carlos Cemetery. Services are entrusted to Alameda Mortuary, 9420 4th St NW, Gary Santillanes, C..F.S.P.
