Obituary for Leischner

Ella Christine Winter Leischner, a resident of Albuquerque since 1975, died Thursday, January 27, 2000. She was the beloved mother of her daughter, Judy Knott of Albuquerque; granddaughter-in-law, Sharon Knott of Tijeras; brother, Ben Winter and wife, Elsie of Altamont, IL; and two sisters, Alma Neumann of Altamont, IL and Vera Maki of De Kalk, IL and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Leischner was married December 30, 1923 to Rev. Paul E. Leischner, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her grandson, James P. Knott. Mrs. Leischner was a member of Faith in Christ Lutheran Church. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse for over 25 years. Mrs. Leischner will be greatly missed by all who loved her. Services will be held Monday, 10:30 a.m., at Faith in Christ Lutheran Church, Chelwood and Indian School NE, with Pastor Roger Wohletz officiating. The casket will be open for viewing from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. Pallbearers will Edwin S. Brooks, Victor R. Zabel, Daniel A. Jarner, Gordon W. McClure, Jim Scales, and Victor R. Zabel Jr. French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE.
