Gary"Guermo" Garcia, 43, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, died Wednesday, October 4, 2000. He is survived by his wife, Diana Garcia; daughter, Martha Garcia; step-children, Josie Smith, Brenda Smith and Joey Smith; mother, Angie Garcia; brother, Antonio Garcia; sister, Roseann Anaya and husband, Anthony; close friend, Deborah Lucero, all of Albuquerque; and several stepgrandchildren. Mr. Garcia was preceded in death by his father; and one brother. Rosary will be recited Friday, 7:00 p.m., at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 817 Arno SE, with Deacon Andrew Chavez reciting. Mass will be celebrated Saturday, 10:00 a.m., at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Anthony Anaya, Robert Anaya, Lawrence Herrera, Lawrence Candelaria, Orlando Gallegos and Fabian Gallegos. Chris Tafoya and Alfred Tafoya will serve as honorary pallbearers. Friends may visit St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Friday, one hour prior to rosary. French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE.
