GIANNINIOctober 5, 1941 - January 8, 2000"THE COACH"He taught us how to coach the game To treat your players all the same From football field to pitcher's mound No greater legacy can be found.He taught us how to be aware You play his teams, you be prepared For"Dingleberry","Dingleball" Coach Giannini taught them all.His teams were a force to be reckoned with Intensity was the name of the game He"raised the bar" on the playing field High school football was never the same.But God had a different plan in mind When He called Coach"G" to His side He needed a coach for His "power-house" team A man with great spirit and drive.So we think Ray's up there coaching On that great football field beyond For if you listen closely you will hear A familiar half-time sound:"All right you guys I've had enough To win we'll have to get real tough Show 'em that we came to play Now let's go out and blow 'em away."He's rootin' for those Sartan teams As they work toward title day If he were only here instead What fun to watch them play!He was a man who coached with love and care A man among men - he was truly rare.It was a great ride, Ray.
