Obituary for Conwell

Elizabeth Charles Conwell, age 86, died March 14, 2000. She moved to Albuquerque in 1936 from Canon, TX. Mrs. Conwell is survived by her daughters, Betty J. Ruff and husband, Ray L. of Albuquerque, Billie Ann Morrissey of Phoenix, AZ; sisters, Lorraine Brown and husband, Gus of Riverside, CA, Lola Sabin of Midwest City, OK; seven grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, W.C. Charles in 1959; her second husband, Neal Conwell in 1991; and her son-in-law, Robert D. Morrissey, Lt. Col. USAF (M.I.A. 1972). She had a great love for gardening, and enjoyed the outdoors and fishing. Visitation will be held Friday, March 17, 2000, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Saturday, march 18, 2000, from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., at Strong-Thorne Mortuary, 1100 Coal Ave. SE. A graveside service will be held Saturday, March 18, 2000 at 1:30 p.m. in Fairview Memorial Park, 700 Yale Blvd. SE, with Larry Pierson officiating. Strong-Thorne Mortuary, 1100 Coal Ave. SE, in charge of arrangements.
