Octava"Ann" Freno, 82, passed away March 14, 2000. She was born in Alva, Oklahoma, had resided in Albuquerque since 1944, and retired from Sandia Base. She was a past president of A.B.W.A. and a member of N.A.R.F.E. Ann is survived by her son, Karl Samuelson of Albuquerque; daughter, Janice Pollack and husband, Lawrence of Omaha, NE; four grandchildren, Jena, Karl Jr., Bryan, and Kristal; four great-grandchildren, Taya-Nicole, Chelsea, David, Dylan, and other family and friends who loved and will miss her. A Memorial service will be held in the chapel of First Presbyterian Church, 212 Locust NE at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, March 17, 2000. Interment will be in Alva, Oklahoma.
