Obituary for Richards

Kent Richards, 58, passed away suddenly in Tucson, Arizona on Thursday, March 9, 2000. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Peggy; sons, Troy (Katarina) Richards and Trace (Monica, grandchildren, Vanessa and Eric) Richards of Tucson; daughter, Tara Richards of Dallas; parents, Rick and Berna Richards of Albuquerque; sister, Janet (Ron, niece, Tamara and nephew, Trevin) Janser of Albuquerque; mother-in-law, Dorothy Donato of Bullhead City, AZ; and brother-in-law, Carl (Nancy) Donato of Scottsdale, AZ; as well as numerous other relatives. Retired since 1996, Kent and Peggy traveled in a RV searching for golf sites and spending their extra time in Angel Fire and Tucson. He impacted many children in Albuquerque through his involvement with sports, including YAFL and Roadrunner Little League. This"gentle-giant" spread love and generosity to his grandchildren and family for years. Kent will remain an inspiration to his family and friends, and will be loved and missed forever. Kent was cremated in Tucson and memorial services will be held at Heights Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 8600 Academy NE, in Albuquerque, on Wednesday, March 15, 2000 at 10:00 a.m. At the families' request, all memorial donations may be made in Kent's name to the Arizona's Children Foundation, 2700 S. 8th Street, Tucson, AZ 85713.
