Emilia V. Navarro, a resident of Albuquerque for 60 years, died Friday, March 10, 2000, on her 97th birthday. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, great-great-nieces and nephews, and many close friends who will greatly miss her love and generosity. Emilia was preceded in death by her husband, J.J. Navarro in 1986. She was a member of Ascension Catholic Church. Visitation will be held Sunday, March 12, 2000, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., at Strong-Thorne Mortuary, 1100 Coal Ave. SE. A Rosary will be recited at 5:00 p.m., Sunday, March 12, 2000, in the Fern Chapel of Strong-Thorne Mortuary. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, March 13, 2000, 10:00 a.m., at Church of the Ascension, with Father Edmund Savilla as Celebrant. Interment will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Strong-Thorne Mortuary, 1100 Coal Ave. SE, in charge of arrangements.
