Obituary for Brown

Mrs. Emma S. Brown, 69, a resident of Albuquerque was called to be with our Lord early in the morning of March 9, 2000. March 10, would have been her 70th birthday. Mrs. Brown is survived by her husband, George B. Brown; two daughters, Jane Duran and husband, Dan and Pamela Coates and husband, Frank; her"adopted" daughter, Dollie Garcia; two sisters, Mary Brown and Rusila Zamora; four grandchildren, Scott Duran, Stephanie Padilla and husband, Rumaldo Padilla III, Frankie Coates III and George Coates; two great-grandchildren, Rumaldo Padilla IV and Michael Padilla; her best friend, Mellie and Merline; many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and extended family members. Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Eufemia Zamora; her daughter, Sandra Gail Brown and her brother, Frank Zamora. Mrs. Brown was a member of the Our Lady of The Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church, an active member of Tops, past SRD Queen at their state conference, was a co-leader in the Tops organization, a homemaker and seamstress. Rosary will be recited Sunday, March 12, 2000 at 3:00 p.m. in The Our Lady of The Most Holy Rosary Church, 5415 Fortuna NW with a visitation after 2:30, Gabriella Nieto reciting. Final visitation will be Monday morning in the church from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. by Father Joel Garner. Interment will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Scott Duran, Frankie Coates III, George Coates, Phillip Brown, Robert Brown and Freddie Brown. Honorary pallbearers will be Johnny Zamora, Larry Zamora, Paul Zamora, Rudy Zamora and Steve Zamora. Gabaldon Mortuary, 1000 Old Coors Rd SW in charge of arrangements.
