Obituary for Bustamante

1911-2000 Jose Antonio Bustamante, 89, a resident of Lodi, California, passed away on Friday, August 25, 2000. Jose grew up as a rancher and a cowboy in the Santa Rita area. He loved New Mexico, horses and telling his grandchildren stories about his time spent as a cowboy. He retired from the Santa Fe Railroad where he worked as a care inspector. His parents, Jorge and Casimira Bustamante; his son, Leo Bustamante; his twin sister, Prudencia; his sister, Mary Carrillo; his brothers, Julian, Daniel, and Herman Bustamante; and his first two wives, Bernarda Lopez and Adela Castillo, preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife, Emma Bustamante of Lodi, CA; his daughters, Sarah Chavira of Barstow, CA, Ernestina Sisneros and husband, Eliseo of Abo, NM, Rosie Sisneros and husband, Abenicio of Belen, Josie Garcia of Belen, and Teresa Maupin and husband, Tom of Lone Pine, CA; his sons, George Bustamante and wife, Linda of Barstow, CA, Manuel Bustamante of Idaho, Ruben Sanchez and wife, Yolanda of Barstow, CA, Jose D. Bustamante of Belen, Gene Bustamante and wife, Helen of Topeka, KS, and Raymond Bustamante of Barstow, CA; his sisters, Elvira Romero and Bernarda Bustamante, both of Belen; his brother, Alfredo Bustamante of Belen; many, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; and his loving nieces and nephews. Funeral services are pending, please call the funeral home for details. Pallbearers will be Martin Sisneros, Tomas Chavira, Louie Bustamante, Genaro Sisneros, Leo Bustamante, and Adella Garcia.
