Obituary for Cavalier

Matthew George Cavalier, 34, was called home by our Lord on Sunday, August 27, 2000. Matthew will be missed by his loving mother, father, caring brothers, and all of his family and friends. Matthew was preceded in death by his grandmother, Elsie Castillo Cortez, who he joins in heaven. He is survived by his mother, Flora Cavalier; father, George Cavalier; brothers, Gerald Cavalier and wife, Joyce, Thomas Cavalier and wife, Deana, all of Albuquerque; nephews, Gerald Jr., Jacob, David, Thomas Jr., Chris, Adrian and Sean. Survivors also include many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Also, Matthew's spiritual advisor and longtime friend, Pastor Tony (Porky) Apodaca. Matthew was known for his love and devotion to his family and our Lord. Services will be held at St. Anne's Catholic Church, 1400 Arenal SW, with a Rosary to be recited by James Rael at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 30, 2000. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 31, 2000. Eulogy will be given by Pastor Tony Apodaca. Burial will follow at San Pedro Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Gerald Cavalier Jr., Bobby Jaramillo, Chris Trujillo, Tom Castillo, Angelo Castillo and Lonnie Baros. Honorary pallbearers will be Sonia Baros, Lorenzo Jaramillo, Daron Perea, Sean Cavalier, Adrian Cavalier, Jacob Cavalier, and Christopher Cavalier.
