Lucinda Chavez Gonzales, 97, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, died Thursday, August 24, 2000. She is survived by her niece, Patricia F. Archuleta of Albuquerque; grandnephews, John Archuleta of Japan, Matthew James Archuleta of Denver, CO, Joseph Paul Archuleta of Albuquerque and Alfonso Archuleta Jr. of Omaha, NE; grandnieces, Diana Maxwell of Boulder, CO, Patricia Nader of Phoenix, AZ, Linda Archuleta of Albuquerque, and Georgia Chavez and Pamela Chavez, both of Los Alamos; and other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Gonzales. Mrs. Gonzales was a member of the Carmelites and the Sacred Heart League at Sacred Heart Parish. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 412 Stover SW, with Reverend James Moore, Celebrant. French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE.
