Obituary for Darwin

Ray S. Darwin, a longtime resident of Albuquerque, passed away Wednesday, August 23, 2000. Mr. Darwin is survived by his wife of 67 years, Hazel Darwin; sons, Jim Darwin and wife, Joanna of San Diego, CA and Tom Darwin of Phoenix, AZ; grandchildren, Jim Darwin of Las Vegas, NV, Tom Darwin and wife, Maki of San Diego, CA, George Darwin and wife, Kimberly of Biloxi, MS, Ben Darwin and wife, Kathy of Albuquerque; great-grandchildren, Evan Darwin, Paige Darwin and Alex Darwin. Ray was known for his love of, and work in, the automobile industry (he owned Darwin Buick in Albuquerque from 1950-1965), his commitment to the Ballut Abyad Temple, and more importantly his devotion to his family and friends. Many thanks to Inell and Dolores of Inez Place for the loving care they provided to Ray. A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 26, 2000 at the Central United Methodist Church at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Shriner Hospital for Children or the Central United Methodist Church.
