Obituary for Salazar

Joseph Ralph Salazar (a.k.a. Showboat), a lifetime resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico, went to be with the Lord, on August 16, 2000, after a courageous battle with cancer. He is survived by his daughter, Gina McKay and fiance, Dan Belflower; one grandaughter, Lyndzy McKay, of Albuquerque, NM; and one grandson, Troy Haley of Rio Rancho, NM; one sister, Mary-Alice Salazar of Albuquerque; three brothers, Frank O. Salazar and wife, Reyna of Albuquerque, David C. Salazar and wife, Marie of Albuquerque, and Gerald P. Salazar and wife, Ernestine (Tina) of Lewisville, TX. He is also survived by one aunt, Eufemia Romero of Los Alamos; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Celia R. Salazar; father, Frank Salazar; and one brother, Schubert Salazar. He was a truck driver/mover until his retirement in 1999. Cremation has taken place. We invite all friends and relatives to join us in a memorial service at the Alameda Mortuary on Saturday, at 10:30 a.m. Pastor Ken Moore officiating.
