Mario Cardenas, 60, beloved husband and father, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 10, 2000. He is survived by his wife Viola Lopez Cardenas of the family home. A granddaughter, Stacy Coronel and husband Felipe, great grandsons Patrick and Christian Coronel of Albq., NM. Four daughters: Anna Valles of Albq., NM, Dolores Torres and Liza Romero, both of Las Vegas, NV. And Jackie Torres and husband Robert of Albq. NM. A grandson, JoeRay Ortiz and wife Roxanne of Mountainair, NM. A brother Santos Cardenas of Del Rey, CA. He is also survived by many other loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews. We will always love and remember his dedication to our family and his many friends."Te vamos a extrenar mucho." Visitations will be held on Monday, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the San Jose Parish (2400 Broadway Blvd SE), A rosary will be recited Monday evening at 7:00pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10:00am at the San Jose Catholic Church. Interment will follow at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Casket Bearers will be JoeRay Ortiz, Jorge Torres, Jay Foster, Anthony Sanchez, Luis Coronel and Lupe Coronel. Honorary Casket Bearers will be Juan Correl (friend), Raymond Mendez and all other grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral Services are in the care of Metropolitan Direct Services, 729 San Mateo Blvd NE.
