Obituary for Klauschie

Jose Klauschie, 75, a resident of Albuquerque for 50 years, died Thursday, May 4, 2000. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Frank H. Klauschie of the family home; daughter, Rita B. Conlon and husband, John; son, William F. Klauschie and wife, Linda, all of Albuquerque; grandchildren, John W. Conlon and wife, Joy, Frank W. Conlon and wife, Melynda, Maria T. Rupley and Steve Prindle, Bridget A. Conlon, Jennifer L. Klauschie, Nathan Klauschie, Kate Klauschie, Samuel"Sam" Klauschie, Christina Klauschie and Jimmie Klauschie; great-grandchildren, Johnathan Conlon, Alex Prindle and Emily Prindle; sister, Rachel Roth and husband, Felix of Germany; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Klauschie was born in Steendorp, Belgium on July 8, 1924. She married Frank H. Klauschie on May 25, 1946 in Antwerpen, Belgium. After the war they returned to Frank's home state of Nebraska and then moved to Albuquerque in 1950. She was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church where she was actively involved in the school, The Community at Prayer, and served as a Eucharistic Minister. Mrs. Klauschie was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother who always put her family first. Her love was so great that it extended beyond her family to everyone she met. She was famous for her ox-tail soup. Mrs. Klauschie loved to knit and her children and grandchildren enjoy sweater and afghans she made. Rosary will be recited Sunday, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE. Mass will be celebrated Monday, 9:30 a.m., at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 1818 Coal Pl. SE, with Father Joseph Roy, Celebrant and Father Bob Keller, O.P., Concelebrant. Interment will take place at 12:00 noon, at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bill Klauschie, John Conlon, Nathan Klauschie, John Conlon, Frank Conlon, Rita Conlon and Bridget Conlon. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE, Sunday, 6:00 p.m. until Rosary.
