Hazel V. Clarkston. Hazel, 85, died December 3, 2000 from complications of lung disease. She is survived by her most loving daughter, Phyllis Thayer and husband, Larry; beloved grandson, Bill Baber and wife, Margie; she leaves behind many, many, very good friends all over the country; as well as her roommates at Villa Solano. Hazel spent 40 years in retail sales, retiring from Lerner's in Albuquerque. She was also an active member of the Solo Club for many years. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Hazel's life will take place at her daughter's home at 3:00 p.m. December 6, 2000. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions be made to American Lung Association or the Albuquerque Alzheimer's Association. Direct Funeral Service. 343-8008.
