Obituary for Beebe

Bill Beebe, 82, a resident of Albuquerque since 1981, died Monday, February 28, 2000. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Fay J. Beebe of Albuquerque; sisters, Eilean M. Schram and husband, Edward, and Norma Jean Ladley, all of Massillon, OH, and Patricia Ann Worthington and husband, Jack of Howard, OH. He was preceded in death by his parents; his step-father, Ralph Johnson; sister, Geraldine Simpson; and brothers, Victor and Robert Beebe. Mr. Beebe was an attendant at the state hospital in Massillon, OH until he entered the service in 1941. He and Fay were married December 12, 1944 at the Army Chapel in Deming, NM. Both of them were in the armed services. During his years in the Army, Bill served in Korea, Hawaii, Germany, and several posts in the USA. He also attended N.E.O. A&M Junior College in Miami, OK from 1948 to 1949. Following his retirement from the Army in 1964, Bill worked as a correctional officer at the U.S. Medical Center for federal prisoners in Springfield, MO. He retired from there in 1979. Mr. Beebe was a member of Temple Baptist Church in Albuquerque. He also served as a music leader of several different churches during his lifetime. Memorial services will be held Thursday, March 2, 2000, 2:00 p.m., at Temple Baptist Church, 1613 Arizona St. NE, with Pastor J. Curtis Goldman and Pastor Larry Kennedy officiating. Interment of cremains will take place Friday, 12:00 noon, at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Arrangements by French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE.
