Obituary for Couffer

Freddie Ray Couffer, 68, beloved and devoted father, grandfather and brother, was called home to be with the Lord, Monday, July 3, 2000. Mr. Couffer was born on July 28, 1931 in Oklahoma to the late Albert and Omie Couffer; a resident of Albuquerque; he was a parishioner of St. Therese Little Flower Catholic Church; and was a proud retired Veteran of the United States Airforce. He was preceded in death by his wife, Katie Couffer on January 21, 1999. He is survived by his loving children, Fred M. Couffer and wife, Martha, Robert Couffer, Billy Couffer and wife, Tina, Jeanette Torrez and Kathy Mueller; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Also surviving are three brothers, Dink Couffer, Bill Couffer and Dale Couffer; and one sister, Lorene Fairsheets. He will be greatly missed by his loving family. Visitations will be Friday evening at 6:00 p.m. till the time of Rosary, which will be recited at 7:00 p.m., also on Friday, in the chapel of Garcia Mortuary, located on 8th and Stover. Funeral services are in the care of Garcia Mortuary, 717 Stover Ave. SW.
